Hey Brian, thanks for stopping by my blog dude, much obliged. And thanks for your comments and kind words. Yeah i'm liking what you have going on here. Really nice character studies and some environments. Is there any aspect of concept art you really want to focus on?
My name is Brian and I am a concept artist (feels like I should be holding a candle or something for this part).
I graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta, with a BFA in media arts and animation. When I first applied to that school, I thought I wanted to be a comicbook artist. I figured that if I learned how to draw really fast, as an animator should be able to do, my comic-drawing skills would grow exponentially.
It's not that I have turned my back on that type of art (I have a soft spot for sequential art) but during my final year of school, I found my calling, digital painting.
I still love pencils, paper, paint and pens but not having original pieces to move, store and worry about has really been nice. I traded in watching paint dry for the "undo" command :)
